Jenny Tuyet-Nhung Truong

PhD Candidate

Jenny grew up in Hildesheim, a city in northern Germany and studied biology with a focus on neuroscience and molecular oncology during her undergraduate and graduate studies. She completed her Bachelor of Science at the Technical University of Braunschweig and her Master of Science at the University of Münster, where she gained research experience in cellular neurobiology and pediatric leukemia.
Since October 2023, Jenny has been pursuing a PhD in Medical Microbiology at the University of Münster. Her research focuses on the interaction of Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa in individuals with chronic airway infections. As part of her doctoral work, she is currently spending six months at Columbia University, conducting research in the Riquelme Lab.

During her stay in New York, she looks forward to engaging in cultural exchange, exploring the city, and growing both personally and professionally within the scientific community.

Outside of her academic work, Jenny enjoys staying active and creative. She spends her free time bouldering, hiking, and painting on canvas.
